1994 Toyota Land Cruiser ZX HZJ73 FRP Top Narrow Body

We’ve taken to calling this specific 70 series the ‘Grandpa Cruiser’ because it is such a clean, non-boisterous design that can absolutely still whoop ass when needed. This might be a 26 year old truck but you better believe we’d rather rely on this than any SUV manufactured today.

Desert tan on this narrow body model with a bright white FRP top gives a great contrast against most ‘always mad grrr’ designs that SUVs of this type typically wear these days. No dents or dings in the body work either, just straight, clean edges. Spare tire cover has been removed for an even more minimalist look. Aftermarket aluminum wheels are wrapped in brand new 32 inch BF Goodrich KO2s, white letters out.

Interior is clear, comfortable and functional. Three pedals by your feet and a tall 5 speed lever sticking out of the transmission tunnel is arguably what makes this Cruiser even more special. Original head unit sits above the AC and heat controls. The air conditioning works perfectly. Down by the base of the transmission lever is your low-range selector for 4WD. The FRP Cruisers end up with a significant extra amount of room behind the rear seats compared to a true short-wheelbase model. Factory original roll bar sticks off the rear wheel wells to make up for the fact that the FRP top can be removed.
