1994 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado LX KZJ71 Narrow Body Unmodified

Stripper model of the venerable 70 series Prado Land Cruiser that is completely unmodified and OEM spec. Capability, reliability, prestige.

These two-door J70 Prados are our favorite vehicles here at Limerence Motors, so much so that we’ve kept one of these for ourselves. Prados are lighter-duty versions of the standard 70 series and are quite easier to live with. For one, these have 12v electrical systems vs. the 24v on a standard 70. Prados all came with four wheel disc brakes where that was optional on the standard 70s. In Japan (at least) these first gens also were only available with turbo diesel engines. Make no mistake though, this is lighter duty compared to the true 70 series, these aren’t ‘light’ in the sense of what they are capable of.

This specific Land Cruiser Prado is the low-spec model for the 1994 year. A more spartan interior with hand-cranked windows and manual locks. AC works great, as well as the original radio (though you won’t be getting many FM bands here in the states).

Exterior is quite clean for the age, though there is a dent on the right front fender, along with a dent in the rear top portion of the roof. Likewise there are four total points of rust, on either door toward the rear of the window track plus on each side of the rear quarter panels just in front of the rear wheels. Please see pictures.
