1991 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SX5

This Land Cruiser Prado is a body on frame, solid axle front and back, coil sprung, short wheelbase, 2 door turbo diesel SUV with a 5 speed manual transmission and a rear locking differential. This is a one owner vehicle.

Highway use, city driving, plowing through off road trails it doesn't matter, this truck can do it all. It's quite comfortable, sits nice and high and since it's so short it's actually quite maneuverable and easy to drive even in tight spots. Air conditioning is fantastic and will chill the inside cabin even in direct sunlight even without tinting on the glass. The turbo gives it a nice sharp increase in power under acceleration and it can cruise smoothly at 70 mph without issue. Transmission shifts smooth and clutch bites well. Inside is clean and in good shape, carpets and fabrics are in good shape, power windows and locks work well. Glass is clear and free of any brakes or cracks. Rear seats can be folded up and forward giving more cargo room in the back, they are separate so you can move one and not the other if you wish. Includes original owner's manual and maintenance booklet.

In June of 2018 the timing belt, tensioner and water pump were replaced along with the other accesory belts.

The bad: There are two small bits of rust on either side of the bottom sill just behind the doors. Left side has rusted through the top layer but isn't a through hole. Right side is bubbling in the same place. No other corrosion anywhere else as the pictures show. There is a large sized dent in the left side door that runs pretty much from the bottom to the top of the door. There are smaller dents on the left front fender. This doesn't have an effect on the door opening and shutting, it's just cosmetic. The heater core has been bypassed, I imported it like this and have never bothered to pull the heater core out to see what the deal was, I assume it's clogged hence the bypass. As a result it does not have heat, though the AC and blowers work a treat. The truck itself runs cool even in the blazing Florida sun. The rear center step has a dent as shown.
