1983 Honda Acty Street L

This absolutely classic Honda Acty Street L perfectly encapsulates everything there is to love about early 80s Hondas and is a one-owner vehicle. All original, all awesome.

A mid-mounted 550cc, 2 cyl 4 stroke propels this van through the real wheels, via a 5 speed manual transmission. Bright and clean silver paint shines with red-to-black side stripes with ‘STREET’ cut out for style. Horizontal side mouldings start on the rear doors and continue around the rear, with center mounted handles for side access on either side. Neat details like rear monoflap with classic ‘Honda’ logo sits under the rear bumper or the windshield washer fill access being right on the front of the van or the oil fill cap being mounted behind the gas cap add more style points. Yellow fog lights round out the exterior details.

Inside is mostly maroon carpet, vinyl and plastic, with the seat fabric being a maroon-and-blue herringbone pattern. Classic black Honda steering wheel sits in front of the instrument cluster showing your speedometer, temp and fuel gauges, warning lights, emergency brake indicator and a choke indicator letting you know if you have the choke engaged. The choke itself is to the left of the steering column. Do the right side you get a flap to allow fresh outside air to blow in seperate the other vents. In the center is the AM radio, HVAC controls, lighter/power outlet and AC controls. Heat works great as does the AC, though it should be noted there is a noticeable power hit while using air conditioning. Down below the radio you get a ‘cool box’, essentially a small cooler to keep a couple of drinks or perhaps a small lunch cold while the van and AC are running. The rear seats share the same fabric as the front and are a two-pieces, allowing one or both seats to be folded forward for excellent cargo capacity. This Street L has a 350 kg capacity, about 770 pounds.
